Kamienica Fukierów is a four-story classicist building located where Market Square meets Piwna Street in Warsaw's Old Town. Its interior courtyard features Renaissance arcades supported by columns with ornate wrought-iron railings.
The property began as two wooden structures in the 1400s and was rebuilt in brick during 1552. Major redesigns in 1718 and 1782 transformed it into the classicist form it holds today.
The Fukier family, who acquired the building in 1810, established a wine business that became central to Warsaw's merchant community through the 19th century.
The ground floor functions as the U Fukier restaurant where visitors can dine and experience the space directly. The building sits centrally in the Old Town and is easy to reach on foot.
The stone doorway carries the Fukier family coat of arms with 'FF' initials carved in 1818, marking their role as wine merchants. This carved detail survives as a record of their influence in Warsaw's trading world.
