Gdynia Kamienna Góra Funicular

Gdynia Kamienna Góra Funicular is a modern cable railway that transports visitors from a lower station up a hill with panoramic views through glass walls. The journey takes passengers over a compact distance with a steady climb to the summit.

The facility was constructed in 2015 as a project to enhance urban connectivity with European funding support. It marked one of the first modern additions to Gdynia's transport infrastructure in recent decades.

The station buildings reflect Gdynia's modernist style with simple geometric forms and clean surfaces. They blend naturally into the urban landscape and define the character of the area.

The funicular is free to use and operates during standard daytime hours without reservation needed. Access is straightforward and the short travel time makes it a practical stop while exploring the city.

This is the only funicular in northern Poland and offers views of Gdansk Bay during the ride. The glass construction allows sightlines in all directions as passengers ascend.
