Palace in Chocianowiec

The palace features Corinthian pilasters on its facades, a mansard roof, and two wings surrounding a central courtyard with French garden parterres.

Duke Bolko I of Schweidnitz and Jauer commissioned the original structure in 1297, which later underwent renovations by architect Martin Frantz from 1728 to 1732.

The palace stands as a representation of baroque architectural evolution in Lower Silesia, combining medieval defensive elements with refined 18th-century design features.

The palace remains in ruins since 1955, with only partial walls and a tower maintaining their structure, though recent renovation efforts included roof replacement.

Underground cellars extend throughout the entire foundation, creating an extensive network beneath the baroque palace structure.
