Dom przy ulicy Jałowego 33, Heritage house at Jałowego Street, Rzeszów, Poland
The residence on Jałowego Street is a two-story brick structure with rectangular windows set in profiled frames and a distinctive roof with overhanging eaves. A projecting section on the front elevation includes a side porch that provides shelter at the entrance.
Built in 1896 for gymnasium teacher Bielecki, the house was designed by architect Franciszek Stążkiewicz. Over the following decades, it passed through several owners including the Piwecki and Grzegorczyk families.
The interior rooms feature Art Nouveau details including decorated tile stoves and wooden paneling that create an elegant character throughout the space. These elements show the taste of the home's well-to-do inhabitants from the late 1800s.
The building includes modern utilities such as water, sewage, gas, and electrical systems distributed throughout the three-bay layout. The interior circulation features a two-flight staircase with an iron handrail located near the main entry.
The original ornamental wooden porch was replaced with a masonry version during the 1930s as tastes and construction methods evolved. A terrace was then added to the rear elevation in the 1960s, expanding the outdoor living space.
