Lezíria Bridge, Road bridge in Carregado, Portugal.

Lezíria Bridge is a road bridge that crosses the Tagus and Sorraia rivers, connecting two regions with a continuous structure. The construction uses box girder sections arranged in sequence to span the water below.

Built by the TACE consortium of Portuguese contractors, the bridge took 23 months and about 220 million euros, using 400,000 m3 of concrete and 45,000 tonnes of steel. It opened on 8 July 2007 with Prime Minister José Sócrates present, followed by a popular festival with José Cid and The Gift.

The bridge serves as a connection point between the municipalities of Benavente and Carregado, integrating communities on both sides of the rivers.

The bridge is part of a busy multi-lane highway route that carries heavy traffic. Travelers should be prepared for standard road conditions and toll collection systems.

The bridge was built by the TACE consortium, grouping Portuguese firms such as MSF, Bento Pedroso Construções, Construtora do Tâmega, Lena Construções, Novopca and Zagope. Its construction took 23 months and about 220 million euros, using 400,000 m³ of concrete, 45,000 tonnes of steel and more than 7 million work hours.
