Casa de Serralves

Casa de Serralves is an Art Deco mansion in Lordelo do Ouro organized across three floors with living spaces, dining areas, and private quarters. The interiors feature decorative work by artists such as René Lalique and Edgar Brandt throughout the rooms.

Construction began in 1925 and continued until 1944 under architects José Marques da Silva and Charles Siclis, who designed it for Count Carlos Alberto Cabral. The project incorporated an existing 19th-century chapel into the overall building scheme.

The building operates as part of the Serralves Foundation and hosts exhibitions of contemporary art. Its spaces draw visitors who come to experience modern artistic works and cultural programming.
