Ponte de Prozelo

Ponte de Prozelo is a medieval arched bridge made of granite blocks spanning the Cávado River. Its structure consists of multiple arches assembled entirely from stone, creating a solid passage above the water.

The bridge was built in the 14th century as the first direct route between two important areas. It allowed people to avoid the long detours that were previously necessary for crossing the river.
