Museu do Hospital e das Caldas, Medical history museum in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.
The museum displays medical instruments, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and furniture spanning from the 16th to the 20th century in restored neoclassical halls.
The building started as Casa Real where Queen Leonor received medical care, and underwent renovations in 1861 under engineer Pedro José Pézerat's direction.
The museum organizes exhibitions, concerts, and workshops, including traditional Japanese Suminagashi and Turkish Ebru paper marbling techniques throughout the year.
The museum operates Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 17:00, with Sunday morning hours, located at Rua Rodrigo Berquó.
The museum features a historic royal pool within the thermal hospital complex, showcasing centuries of medical treatment evolution in Portugal.
