Praia da Vagueira

Praia da Vagueira is a wide sandy beach on the Atlantic coast where the shoreline stretches for several kilometers with wooden pathways linking it to neighboring beaches on both sides. The beach offers changing rooms, parking facilities, and equipment areas for water sports, plus a modern walkway for visitors.

The beach is best visited during warmer months, but it remains accessible year-round with good facilities both on land and in the water. Visitors should know that parking fills up quickly during peak season and that early mornings offer the most lively activity with local fishing operations.

On certain days, visitors can watch tractors pulling large nets from the beach into the water, a rare spectacle showing the old working methods of local fishermen. This method is so uncommon elsewhere that many travelers never encounter it, even though it happens regularly here.
