The beach extends along a vast sandy shoreline with wooden pathways connecting Vagueira to Labrego in the south and Costa Nova in the north.
Since 1989, Praia da Vagueira maintains its Blue Flag certification, validating the continuous high standards of water quality and environmental management.
Local fishermen continue the traditional Arte Xávega method, using curved boats to spread nets near the shore and tractors to pull the catch.
