The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology features a white curved structure along the Tagus River, designed by architect Amanda Levete in 2016.
The museum complex incorporates the Central Tejo power station, which supplied electricity to the Lisbon region from 1909 until the 1970s.
MAAT presents exhibitions connecting art, architecture, and technology through international and Portuguese artists across multiple exhibition spaces and outdoor areas.
The museum opens daily from noon to 8 PM except Tuesdays, with full accessibility features and a riverside walkway connecting to nearby cultural sites.
The building's rooftop walkway provides direct access from street level, creating a public space where visitors can observe the Tagus River and Lisbon's waterfront.
