Cheile Bicazului-Hășmaș National Park

Cheile Bicazului-Hășmaș National Park is located in the Eastern Carpathians across Neamț and Harghita counties, covering around 6,575 hectares. The landscape displays deep limestone gorges, steep cliff faces, and the naturally formed Red Lake within its boundaries.

This park received official protected status in January 1990 as part of Romania's commitment to preserving its natural regions. The designation came during a pivotal period of change for the country's environmental policies.
