Nativity of St. John the Baptist Church, Piatra Neamț, Medieval Orthodox church at Princely Court, Piatra Neamț, Romania.
The church features a rectangular plan with side apses, Gothic-influenced buttresses, and decorative enameled ceramic elements on its facades.
Construction of this religious monument took place between July 1497 and November 1498 during the reign of Stephen the Great of Moldova.
The church interior contains a wooden iconostasis created between 1868 and 1873 by monk Gherasim and decorated by painters Panaite Mavrodin and C.V. Basarab.
Visitors can find the church at coordinates 46.932834°N 26.368904°E, within the medieval Princely Court complex of Piatra Neamț.
The bell tower, built in 1499, served as a watchtower for monitoring the Bistrița Valley and roads toward Neamț Fortress.
