"Teodor Cincu" History Museum

The "Teodor Cincu" Museum is a history museum in Tecuci housing collections of regional artifacts spanning different ancient periods. The building itself dates to the 19th century and contains pottery, vessels, and ornaments that document the craftsmanship and daily life of earlier populations.

The museum was founded in 1932 when private collectors brought their pieces together and displayed them in a local school. Over time the collection expanded through excavations and donations, eventually becoming an established institution.

Among the artifacts is a glass vessel with Greek inscriptions from the 4th century, documenting the far-reaching trade connections of the ancient region. A collection of gilded bronze pieces from Callatis also reveals that the area was once connected to distant coastal communities.
