The three-story building features brutalist architecture with exposed concrete surfaces and geometric forms, designed by architect Nicolae Porumbescu in modern style.
The cultural center opened in 1969 during the tenth congress of the Romanian Communist Party, marking a new phase in local social development.
The venue contains a 736-seat auditorium, conference rooms, exhibition spaces, and studios that support performances ranging from theater productions to musical concerts.
Located at Stefan cel Mare Street 20A in December 22 Square, the cultural house maintains regular programming of theatrical performances, concerts, and art exhibitions.
A large non-figurative mosaic titled 'The Song of the Highland', created using stone and marble, covers 445 square meters of the building's lateral facade.
