Varadin Bridge, Road girder bridge in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The Varadin Bridge extends 304 meters across the Danube River, featuring a box girder design constructed from reinforced concrete for durability.
Built in 2000, this bridge replaced the previous structure destroyed during NATO bombardment in 1999, which had served since 1946.
The bridge name combines Hungarian words for fortress and town with the Turkish word for faith, reflecting the regional linguistic heritage.
The elevated road span of the bridge allows ships to pass underneath while maintaining continuous vehicle and pedestrian traffic between city sections.
Local residents placed flowers at the bridge entrance to commemorate Oleg M. Nasov, who lost his life during the 1999 bombing.
