Museum of Vojvodina, Regional history museum in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The Museum of Vojvodina houses approximately 400,000 artifacts spanning archaeology, ethnology, history, and art across 3,000 square meters of permanent exhibition space with around 6,000 displayed items.
Founded on October 14, 1847, as the Serbian National Collection, the museum evolved from Sava Tekelija's legacy and became the unified Vojvodina Museum in 1947 before adopting its current name in 1992.
The museum preserves the multicultural heritage of Vojvodina by showcasing artifacts from various ethnic groups including Slovenes, Hungarians, and Serbs who settled in the region over eight thousand years.
The museum operates Tuesday through Friday from 09:00 to 19:00 and weekends from 10:00 to 18:00, offering wheelchair accessibility and guided tours for visitors exploring its extensive collections.
The museum displays a rare late Roman parade helmet from the 4th century AD found in Jarak, one of only a few such artifacts discovered in Europe.
