Lešje Monastery

The monastery includes a triconchal church structure with walls made of tufa stone, measuring 11.6 meters in length and 6 meters in width.

Founded in 1360, the monastery functioned as a primary spiritual center until 1456, with archaeological evidence indicating religious activities at the site since the 12th century.

The monastery maintains Serbian Orthodox traditions through religious ceremonies, educational programs, and preservation of ancient Christian artifacts including fragments of the True Cross.

The monastery welcomes visitors throughout the year and offers baptism ceremonies in a nearby lake, with plans to adapt the water source for year-round use.

The monastery grounds contain a tower named after Prince Lazar's standard-bearer, Orlovic Pavle, currently undergoing restoration works.
