Rača Bridge, Steel truss bridge in Sremska Rača, Serbia.

Rača Bridge is a steel construction about 410 meters long that crosses the Sava River and links Serbia with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The structure carries both railway and road traffic, handling two types of transport daily across the river.

The first bridge at this location opened in 1934 and was originally called Bridge of Maria of Yugoslavia. Italian workers played a significant role in building that original structure.

This crossing marks a traditional meeting point over the Sava where trade routes have intersected for centuries. People on both sides use it daily as a vital link in their regional connections.

The crossing allows passage from Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina with both vehicle types on separate levels. Visitors should know this is an active international border crossing where delays can affect travel plans.

The structure has a main span of about 330 meters, making it a noteworthy engineering achievement of its era. Additional approach bridges support the overall construction and allow the river to flow underneath in controlled ways.
