Château de Vlajkovac

Chateau de Vlajkovac is a neoclassical residence with a rectangular form and ochre-colored facade. The structure features a central portico, iron-trimmed terraces, and ornamental railings flanking both main entrances.

Count Gyorgy Mocsonyi built this residence in 1859 as his home. The Bissingen-Nippenburg family acquired it through marriage in 1888 and occupied it until World War II.

The wrought iron details showcase building tastes from the Austro-Hungarian period in the 1800s. Visitors can see these crafted elements on the facade and around the terraces today.

The building requires major renovations after decades of residential occupation and is not regularly open for visits. The Serbian Ministry of Culture funds restoration studies to guide future preservation work on the structure.

A ceremonial hall occupies the space above the entrance porch, topped with a cornice and featuring a niche that once held the family crest. This architectural element reflects the status of those who lived in the residence.
