Fokino, Naval base town in Primorsky Krai, Russia
Fokino extends over 16 square kilometers along the Peter the Great Gulf coast, offering views across Abrek Bay at 40 meters above sea level.
The settlement originated in 1891 as Promyslovka, later merging with Tikhookeansky in 1980 to form the current municipality designated as Shkotovo-17.
The Russian Pacific Fleet maintains a strong presence in Fokino, influencing local traditions and daily activities of the 19,427 residents.
Access to Fokino requires special permits as it operates under closed town regulations, with restricted entry for non-residents and international visitors.
