Qazan Kremlin, UNESCO World Heritage Site in Russia
The Kazan Kremlin is a fortified complex in Kazan, Russia.
It was built at the behest of Ivan the Terrible on the ruins of the former castle of Kazan khans.
It houses the Kul Sharif Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Russia, and the leaning Söyembikä Tower.
The site is open to tourists and offers guided tours.
It's the only surviving Tatar fortress in Russia with historic buildings.
