Maryino District

Maryino is a residential neighborhood in the South-Eastern Administrative Okrug of Moscow, featuring modern apartment buildings with light-colored facades in shades of green, beige, and pink. The area combines housing blocks with local parks and shops that serve everyday needs.

The district takes its name from the village of Maryino, which developed near Chaginskoye Marshes and was named after Mariya Yaroslavna. Settlement in this area traces back to the 12th century.

Parks and recreational spaces throughout the district host regular community gatherings, featuring local performances, sports activities, and seasonal celebrations.

Two metro stations on the Lyublinskaya Line provide good transport connections to central Moscow. The neighborhood is walkable with clear paths connecting residential blocks and local facilities.

Archaeological discoveries in the area reveal traces of ancient Vyatichi Slavs through burial mounds from the early medieval period. These remains show that the land was inhabited long before modern settlement began.
