Krasnodar Stadium, Football stadium in Krasnodar, Russia
Krasnodar Stadium is a modern football venue in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, offering seating for more than 35,000 spectators. A continuous cable-supported roof structure spans the entire seating bowl and shelters every seat from the weather.
Construction began in spring 2013 on the initiative of club founder Sergey Galitsky, who privately financed the project. The opening took place in October 2016 and marked a milestone for professional football in southern Russia.
The arena takes its name from the football club founder, whose personal commitment made construction possible in the first place. During the 2018 World Cup, the Spanish squad used the grounds as their training base, bringing international attention to Krasnodar.
Parking is available both outside and inside the grounds, with several hundred spaces for visitors. During matches, a large team of stewards ensures smooth operations and spectator safety throughout the venue.
A continuous screen with an area of 4,700 square meters (50,000 square feet) wraps around the seating bowl and offers every visitor a clear view of replays and information. This technical solution ranks among the largest of its kind worldwide in a stadium.
