Idritsa, Urban settlement in Sebezhsky District, Russia
Idritsa is a work settlement in Pskov Oblast in northwestern Russia, located where the Moscow-Riga railway line crosses the Idritsa River. The community centers around industrial facilities, including a flax production factory and electrotechnical equipment manufacturers.
The settlement began in the late 19th century as a railway station on the Moscow-Vindava line. It gained urban settlement status in 1938 as the railway connection boosted local development.
The main square displays the Victory Banner monument, commemorating the 150th Rifle Division's participation in World War II operations.
The settlement is easily accessible by the Moscow-Riga railway line, which simplifies getting around and reaching nearby areas. As a smaller work community, it offers basic services and works well as a base for exploring the rural Pskov region.
Three separate monuments across the settlement honor soldiers who died during World War II between 1941 and 1944. These memorials stand as visible reminders of the community's connection to this historical period.
