Academicheskaya Dacha is an artists' residence on the banks of Msta River and Lake Mstino, comprising multiple structures designed for artistic creation and training. The complex includes living quarters, studios, and workshops that remain in active use throughout the year.
Founded in 1884, the complex was created to provide summer study opportunities for students of the Imperial Academy of Arts. Over the decades it grew into a place where lasting artistic works were created.

A monument to painter Ilya Repin stands beside the main building, dedicated to the site in 1964. The memorial marks the lasting connection this place maintains with Repin's artistic legacy.
