Аннинский лесопарк, Forest park in Chertanovo Yuzhnoye district, Moscow, Russia
Anninsky Forest Park is an 18 hectare woodland area in the Chertanovo Yuzhnoye district situated between Varshavskoye Highway and Dorozhnaya Street along the Moscow Ring Road boundary. A road called Mosstroyput divides it into two sections, with the northern part locally known as Dubki.
The forest park was named after a former village called Annino that once existed in this area. The northern section contains linden trees approximately 70 to 80 years old, along with individual oak trees from that same period.
The forest bears the name of a former village that once stood in this area, connecting the landscape to its rural past. Local residents view it as a green space shaped by post-war efforts to replant and restore the woodland.
The woodland can be visited on both sides of Mosstroyput, with each section offering its own experience. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear since pathways can vary in condition depending on the season.
The woodland hosts rare Moscow plant species such as hairy St. John's wort, which is uncommon in the region. Since September 2021 it has held protected natural territory status, highlighting its ecological importance.
