Golyanovsky Park

Golyanovsky Park is a green space centered around a large pond in the Golyanovo district with paths winding between pines and deciduous trees. The grounds include volleyball courts, basketball hoops, tennis areas, and playgrounds designed for children with disabilities.

The site was originally shaped by the Sosenka River and transformed into a recreation area during the 1960s. An artificial pond was created in 1980 and became the centerpiece of the current layout.

The Defenders of the Fatherland Alley displays portraits of 26 local World War II veterans on memorial stands near the water. The space serves as a place where neighbors remember people from their own community.

The park works well for walking and moving around with activities across different areas. Wearing sturdy shoes is wise, especially if you plan to explore the paths during wet weather.

The park hosts competitions for model boat enthusiasts from the Pelican Club who operate radio-controlled gasoline-powered vessels on the pond. This unusual hobby draws collectors and enthusiasts who practice their skills in this specialized pursuit.
