Доброму гению, Memorial fountain in Feodosia, Ukraine.
The Good Genius Fountain is a bronze sculpture in Feodosia featuring a female figure holding a shell with water flowing into a stone basin. The structure sits within green landscaping in Jubilee Park, creating a tranquil focal point along the waterfront.
The original fountain was built in 1890 to honor painter Aivazovsky, who provided Feodosia with a water source. It disappeared during World War II and was later reconstructed with modern sculptural design.
The fountain expresses the city's gratitude toward painter Ivan Aivazovsky, who gave Feodosia access to fresh water. An inscription on the structure commemorates his generosity and the students who continued his artistic legacy.
The fountain stands in Jubilee Park between Gorky Street and Korobkov Boulevard, where it remains freely accessible throughout the day. There is no entrance fee, making it easy to visit while exploring the park's pathways.
The current structure was rebuilt in 2004 following wartime destruction, incorporating artistic work by local sculptor Valery Zamekhovsky. This reconstruction blends the original concept with contemporary sculptural form.
