Completed in 1978, the building housed workers from the Soviet aviation sector during a phase of rapid aerospace development. This period marked an era when state housing projects directly supported professionals in strategic industries.

The name recalls the original aviation professionals who lived here, assigned housing based on their workplace and occupation. Such buildings show how Soviet city planning grouped people by profession, creating neighborhoods tied to specific industries.
