Kashirin House Museum

Kashirin House Museum is a preserved 18th-century merchant residence displaying personal items, photographs, and correspondence of writer Maxim Gorky. The rooms retain their original furnishings and show how a wealthy trading family lived.

The house was home to Gorky's grandparents and where the renowned writer spent his childhood during the 1870s. The museum was established in 1938 to preserve this important literary heritage.
