Ждановские Озёра

The Zhdanovskie Lakes are two interconnected freshwater bodies in southern Vsevolozhsk surrounded by thick forest vegetation. The site features sandy beaches for swimmers and is set within a green landscape with minimal development.

In the late 1800s, the Molchanov family built country homes by the lakes, which were later converted into a sanatorium facility. Following the political changes of 1917, the property passed into state control and functioned as a rest center.

The lakes serve as a natural gathering place where locals spend weekends swimming and relaxing by the shore. The name connects to a notable figure from the city's past, making the site a point of reference in conversations about the area's heritage.

Getting there is easy with direct bus access to the site, and there are no entrance fees for the beaches. It is best to visit on clear, sunny days when the weather is good for swimming and outdoor activity.

The former sanatorium grounds were converted into a public park in 2016 and have become a favored spot for day visits. Building structures from the early 1900s remain visible, offering glimpses into the site's past use as a retreat center.
