The Leopard Reserve is a protected area in Primorsky Krai with mixed forests that provide critical habitat for Amur leopards in the Russian Far East. The territory features rugged, forested terrain with diverse vegetation supporting various endangered species.

The reserve was formed in 2008 by merging two existing sanctuaries named Barsovy and Borisovskoye Plateau into one consolidated protection zone. This unification aimed to create stronger safeguards for the small surviving population of Amur leopards.

The reserve shows Russia's commitment to protecting endangered species, particularly the Amur leopard and Amur tiger, which hold special meaning in regional conservation efforts. Visitors experience how the country prioritizes the survival of these rare predators.

The reserve borders China and connects with Kedrovaya Pad Nature Reserve to form an international corridor allowing large predators to migrate between countries. This cross-border approach gives leopards and other large animals safe passage across the frontier.
