Надымское городище, Archaeological hillfort near Nadym, Russia.
The settlement encompasses a 700 square meter earthen rampart situated on a floodplain island of the western Nadym River tributary.
Initial human presence dates back to the 1st millennium CE, with extensive construction occurring between the late 16th and early 18th centuries.
Archaeological excavations revealed over 15,000 artifacts including mammoth ivory items, weapons, children's toys, and remains of residential structures.
Access to the site requires boat transportation during summer months, as its remote location prevents conventional vehicle access.
The settlement contained an oval-shaped urban structure housing approximately 250 inhabitants who sustained themselves through hunting and fishing activities.
