Новомосковский историко-художественный музей

The Novomoskovsk History and Art Museum occupies a former water tower building and displays regional artifacts and artworks across about 700 square meters. The collection includes archaeological finds, photographs, paintings, sculptures, and traditional crafts from the local area.

The museum was founded in 1966 and initially focused on World War II exhibits. Under the direction of artist Vasily Maximovich Astakhov, the collection was later expanded and reoriented.

The museum displays works by local artists and craftspeople that reflect the creative traditions of the region. Visitors can see how artistic creations from different periods tell the story of the area.

The location organizes many rotating exhibitions each year and offers guided tours for school groups as well as regular cultural events for all visitors. Plan to spend time exploring both permanent and temporary displays during your visit.

On the museum grounds stands a restored BM-13-16 Katyusha rocket launcher that was used during the city's liberation in 1941. This striking military vehicle serves as a permanent outdoor display for visitors to see.
