Химик, Football stadium in Novomoskovsk, Russia
Khimik Stadium is a football venue in Novomoskovsk with a heated artificial turf field and two covered spectator stands. The playing surface measures 105 by 68 meters and can seat approximately 5,200 people.
The venue opened in 1954 and underwent major reconstruction between 1995 and 1997, introducing artificial turf and plastic seating. These renovations created the facility as it exists today.
In 1961, the stadium recorded its highest attendance of 17,000 spectators during a match where the local team defeated Moscow Dynamo in the USSR Cup.
The venue is located at Sadovskogo Street 52 and can be found easily by following main routes through the center. When visiting, note that the field and stands are accessed through separate entrances.
The sports facility was previously known by different names, initially called Shakhtyor, then Don, before becoming Khimik. These name changes reflect how the venue's purpose and use shifted over the decades.
