Park Pobedy, War memorial park in Novo-Savinovsky District, Kazan, Russia
The Victory Park spans 50 hectares with 1418 trees and shrubs, symbolizing each day of the Great Patriotic War from 1941 to 1945.
The park construction began in the 1970s and was completed in 1995 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II.
The central memorial displays marble plaques with names of 236 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan and features a 42-meter victory stela.
Visitors can access the park via buses 2, 15, 28, 33, 46, 49, 60, trams 5, 6, trolleybuses 2, 13, or the Kozya Sloboda metro station.
The park houses an extensive military equipment exhibition including tanks, artillery, helicopters, and aircraft manufactured by Kazan factories during the post-war period.
