The Embassy of Vietnam occupies a red brick building at 13 Bolshaya Pirogovskaya Street, featuring classical architecture with decorative elements on its facade.
The structure was constructed in 1895 as the Mazurin orphanage, funded through a substantial bequest of 280,000 roubles from Marie Charbonneau.
The embassy building represents the first solo architectural project of Illarion Ivanov-Schitz, who incorporated traditional Russian design elements into the structure.
The diplomatic mission provides consular services, visa processing, and assistance for Vietnamese citizens residing in Russia through its dedicated administrative offices.
The facility operated as an orphanage accepting both boys and girls aged 5 to 9 without religious restrictions until its transformation in the 1930s.
