Suvorovskaya, Metro station project in Tverskoy District, Russia
Suvorovskaya is a planned metro station in Tverskoy District in central Moscow with one island platform serving two tracks. It will be located at coordinates 55.7808°N and 37.6325°E and serve as a transfer point between two major lines.
Construction plans for this station were initially halted in 2017 due to economic constraints but received renewed approval in 2019. The project represents part of ongoing efforts to expand Moscow's metro network.
The station name comes from Suvorov Square, reflecting how Moscow Metro stations often take names from important local landmarks and figures from Russian history.
Once completed, this station will provide a direct transfer between the Koltsevaya Line and the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line. This connection will reduce travel times for people moving between different parts of central Moscow.
Construction is expected to be completed around 2025, making this an important expansion of transportation links in the district. The opening will create new connections to areas that currently require longer travel times to reach.
