Tula State Museum of Weapons, Military museum in Tula, Russia
The Tula State Museum of Weapons contains over 10,000 exhibits of firearms, artillery pieces, and combat equipment from various historical periods.
Founded in 1775 during Catherine the Great's reign, the museum originated from the weapons collection of the Tula Arms Factory established by Peter I.
The museum displays numerous handcrafted firearms decorated with engravings, precious metals, and gems, representing Russian military craftsmanship through centuries.
The museum offers guided tours in multiple languages, multimedia exhibitions, and interactive displays across six floors of a helmet-shaped building.
The current museum building, constructed in 2012, takes the form of a traditional Russian warrior helmet known as shishak.
