Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God in Khanty-Mansiysk

The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God is a stone building in Khanty-Mansiysk with features of Siberian Baroque architecture. The interior contains multiple altars and decorative elements characteristic of Russian Orthodox churches.

Cossacks built the first wooden church on this site in the late 1600s, while the current stone structure was erected in 1815. During the Soviet period the building was demolished and its materials were repurposed for a fish processing factory until restoration work started in 1994.

The church is dedicated to the Feast of the Intercession and draws people who maintain Orthodox traditions passed down through generations. Visitors can see how the space serves as a gathering place for community members who practice their faith in this remote Siberian city.
