Built between 1882 and 1885 by architect A.F. Vidov, the church represents one of the first stone religious structures in Pavlovsk.
The church maintains regular Lutheran services and functions as an active center for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria community.

The building received recognition as a tentative cultural heritage site in Russia through Directive Number 15 in February 2001.
