Church of St. Paraskevi, Novgorod

The Church of St. Paraskevi is a religious building in Yaroslav's Court, part of medieval Novgorod, and features three interior sections supported by four central pillars. The walls were built using limestone and a local stone material that was common in the region.

The building was founded in 1207 by Novgorod merchants as a stone structure, replacing two earlier wooden churches built in 1156 and 1191. This shift from wood to stone reflects the city's growing prosperity and importance in medieval trade.
