Church of the Epiphany in Krasnoe-na-Volge

The Church of the Epiphany features a distinctive tent roof structure with traditional Orthodox design elements and a bell tower added in the 17th century.

Constructed in 1592 on the Godunov estate near Kostroma, the church received financial support from Dmitry Godunov and blessing from Moscow's first Patriarch, Job.

The church interior contains a restored iconostasis and traditional Orthodox style paintings covering the walls and vaults for religious ceremonies.

Located at coordinates 57.51N, 41.24E, the church welcomes visitors who can explore both the interior architecture and exterior structural elements throughout the day.

This religious building stands as the only remaining stone tent-roofed temple in the entire Kostroma region, representing a rare architectural style from the 16th century.
