Church of Great Martyr St. George the Victorious

The Church of Great Martyr St. George the Victorious is a wooden structure featuring characteristic onion domes and wooden shingle roofs positioned near the Moskva River bank. The building sits on elevated ground surrounded by an open plaza, allowing visitors an unobstructed view of its distinctive roof architecture.

The structure was originally built in 1685, reflecting a long tradition of wooden church construction in the region. Following extensive restoration work from 2009 to 2011, it was relocated to its present location, where it now stands as an important example of Russian architectural heritage.
