Saint George Cathedral in Gus-Khrustalny

The cathedral features black labradorite columns supporting the interior structure, with large windows allowing natural light to illuminate the space.

Construction of Saint George Cathedral began in 1892 with funding from glass manufacturer Yu.S. Nechaev-Maltsov and concluded in 1903 under architect L.N. Benois.

The cathedral houses a collection of regional glass art in its Museum of Crystal, connecting religious heritage with the local manufacturing traditions.

Visitors can access the cathedral and its crystal museum through the main entrance at Kalinina Street 2a in central Gus-Khrustalny.

The interior displays a massive 7x7 meter painting called The Last Judgment by V.M. Vasnetsov, accompanied by detailed mosaic work.
