The bronze monument features a soldier in military uniform standing upright, holding a sword in the right hand and a scabbard in the left hand.
The monument was unveiled on May 30, 2014, marking the centenary of Russia's involvement in World War I as part of the Allied Powers.
The memorial includes granite materials from Karelia and Ukraine, with the Saint George Cross incorporated into its architectural design.
The monument stands two and a half meters tall on a granite pedestal, located in the center of Kaliningrad for public viewing.
Sculptor A.M. Dementiev created this monument to represent both the military strength and the consequences of World War I for the Russian Empire.
