The National Library of Sweden features Renaissance Revival architecture with cast iron elements and stands within the grounds of Humlegården park.

Founded in 1661, the library relocated to its current building in 1877, designed by architect Gustaf Dahl to house growing collections of Swedish publications.

As part of the Official Statistics of Sweden, the facility provides research services and maintains comprehensive records of all materials published in the country.

Since 1997, the library has systematically collected and preserved the Swedish portion of the internet, creating an extensive digital archive of national online content.
