Bunge Museum, Open-air folk museum in Fårösund, Sweden
The Bunge Museum displays 77 historical buildings arranged in farmsteads, representing rural architecture and daily life from different time periods in Gotland.
Founded in 1907 by teacher Theodor Erlandsson, the museum began with the relocation of endangered historical buildings from the parish of Biskops in 1908.
The museum features traditional tar-coated timber houses called bulhus, which have characterized rural Gotland architecture since medieval times.
The museum operates daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering guided tours at 1:15 PM during peak season and group bookings during off-season.
The museum grounds contain prehistoric picture stones dating from the 5th to 8th centuries, which are distinctive artifacts found only in Gotland.
