Tyresta National Park

The park contains ancient woodland with thick pine trees, barren flat rocks, and multiple lakes spread across 5,000 hectares of protected land.

Established in 1993, Tyresta National Park preserves the largest untouched forest area in southern Sweden, shaped by glacial movements from past ice ages.

The park features Naturum, an educational center built in the shape of Sweden, where visitors learn about local ecosystems and environmental conservation.

Located 20 kilometers from Stockholm, the park offers 55 kilometers of marked trails, with facilities including a café and farm shop in Tyresta By.

The forest contains centuries-old pine trees that have developed distinctive shapes, while the air carries natural scents of bog myrtle and marsh Labrador tea.
