Teleborg Castle, Castle in Växjö, Sweden
Teleborg is a castle in German medieval style located near Lake Trummen within the Linnaeus University area, featuring stone walls, towers, and mature gardens. The building operates as a hotel with a restaurant and provides spaces for events and meetings throughout the year.
The castle was built in 1900 by architects Lindvall & Boklund as a wedding gift for Anna Koskull, commissioned by Count Fredrik Bonde af Björnö. This marked the beginning of its history as a residence in the Växjö area.
The castle evolved from a private home into a girls' school, then became a wedding venue and conference center that serves the local community today.
The castle is located at Slottsallén 33 and offers hotel rooms with an attached restaurant for guests. The grounds with their gardens are easy to explore, and event spaces remain available throughout the year for various occasions.
The castle served as the filming location for the Swedish television program 'Stjärnorna på Slottet' on SVT during 2017 and 2018. This television exposure brought national attention and made the place recognizable to viewers across the country.
